  21. shareware version,  and that you will register  your copy of DC CAD which

  28. To register DC CAD, send $34 (Over 50% Discount off Retail Price) to  DC
  29. SOFTWARE at the  above address.    California  residents please add sales
  30. tax.    You can  also order using MasterCard or Visa by calling our order
  31. line at 805-964-0473.  Dealer and OEM inquiries are welcome.

  33. Users  who  register DC CAD will receive,  by return mail,  the registered
  34. version of the program and the published User's Manual as well.

  40. DC CAD is  distributed as-is.   DC Software  disclaims  all  warranties,
  41. expressed  or  implied.    DC  Software  will  assume  no  liability for
  42. damages  either from the  direct use of this product or as a consequence
  43. of the use of this product.

  46. LICENSE

  49. DC CAD  is  (C)opyright 1992  by  DC Software,  and as such is NOT Public
  50. Domain software and is therefore NOT free.
  51.  
  52. DC CAD is protected  under United States Copyright and Trademark Laws. It
  53. must be treated just like a book with certain exceptions as follows:
  54.  
  55.        A. DC Software authorizes the making of archival copies of the
  56.           software for the sole purpose of protecting your investment
  57.           from possible loss.
  58.  
  59.        B. The medium on which the software is recorded is transferred
  60.           to the customer, but not the title to the software.
  61.  
  62.        C. The customer may resell or distribute unmodified copies of the
  63.           registered software provided the customer has purchased from
  64.           DC Software  one copy of the registered software for each one
  65.           sold or distributed.  The provisions of this software license
  66.           shall also be applicable to third parties receiving copies of
  67.           the registered software from the  customer.

  69.        D. By saying, "just like a book", DC Software means that the
  70.           software may be used by any number of people and may be freely
  71.           moved from one computer location to another so long as there
  72.           is ABSOLUTELY NO POSSIBILITY of it being used at one location
  73.           while being used at another, just like a book that cannot be
  74.           read by two different people in two different locations at the
  75.           same time.

  77. Users of  unregistered  copies of the  program   are  granted  a  LIMITED
  78. two-week license for use of DC CAD to  evaluate the program's suitability
  79. for their requirements.   Usage of DC CAD  beyond the  evaluation  period
  80. requires registration of each copy of the program used.

  82. DC CAD  may NOT be modified  in any  respect,  for  any reason, including
  83. but not limited to,  de-compiling,  disassembling, or reverse engineering
  84. of the program. The  opening  title screen,  help screens,  and all other
  85. proprietary  program  output must never be altered, removed, bypassed or
  86. modified in any manner and by any means.

  88. You are free to distribute the  PUBLICLY AVAILABLE  shareware version of
  89. DC CAD to others subject to the above restrictions and the following:

  91.      A.   No fee may be charged for its acquisition and/or use.
  92.  
  93.      B.   No remuneration may be accepted for DC CAD. This does
  94.           not apply to computer access charges the system
  95.           operators (SYSOPs) of organizations owning bulletin
  96.           board systems, online services, etc... may charge
  97.           subscribers.

  99.      C.   DC CAD must be copied in unaltered form, complete with
  100.           files containing license information, the FULL
  101.           documentation and all accompanying  files.  The
  102.           extracting/archiving software distributed by DC Software
  103.           must not be altered in ANY respect.

  105.      D.   All shareware houses/distribution firms must make
  106.           explicitly clear that the diskette purchase containing
  107.           this shareware program does NOT constitute registration
  108.           of the software with DC Software.

  110. Bulletin  Board / On-line  Service  System  Operators  may  make  DC CAD
  111. available for download only if the above conditions are met. The archived
  112. file  (DCCAD.ZIP)  distributed  by DC Software may be made available only
  113. in complete form.   Refer to section FILE LISTING to verify contents.  If
  114. the  contents appear altered or  not complete,  you may obtain the latest
  115. release of DC CAD  directly from DC Software by sending a formatted,  hi-
  116. density (1.2Mb or 1.44Mb) diskette labeled with the word "DC CAD".

  120. COMMERCIAL LICENSE

  123. Commercial  distributors  of  "Public Domain",  "Shareware", and/or User
  124. Supported   Software   may  distribute  DC  CAD  subject  to  the  above
  125. conditions only after obtaining WRITTEN permission from DC Software.

  188. DC CAD UPGRADES
  189. ---------------

  191. Users who have  registered  (and received a diskette) may upgrade to the
  192. latest version of DC CAD  by sending  in  their  ORIGINAL  DC CAD  DISK,
  193. along with $10 (service and handling).     Please use the enclosed order
  194. form  when  upgrading.    If there has been an address change, please so
  195. indicate on the order form.

  197. The original disk must  contain the  registered  version of DC CAD.  The
  198. disk  will  be reformatted and the current  Master  copied onto it.  Any
  199. disk in poor condition  will be replaced by DC Software.   If the serial
  200. number label is missing or the diskette does not contain the  registered
  201. version  of DC  CAD,  the  update will not be performed and the diskette
  202. will be returned unchanged.

  205. SITE LICENSE - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  206. -------------------------------------

  208. If you plan on  using DC CAD in a corporate,  government  office, or  in
  209. any business environment whatsoever, registration is mandatory  and  the
  210. two week limited  license is strictly enforced. For such users, quantity
  211. discounts are available under a Site License agreement.  One MASTER copy
  212. of DC CAD  (with  documentation) will be provided on diskette.  The site
  213. is responsible for printing the  documentation and copying the diskettes
  214. for distribution.    Sorry, but backups of the MASTER disks do not count
  215. towards the total copies for licensing purposes.

  217. With all site  licenses,  the site will supply  one contact person  with
  218. which all  correspondence  will be made.  If a problem should occur, the
  219. contact  person  will  call  and  make  arrangements  for  its  solution.
  220. Updates to DC CAD will be forwarded to the contact person. When filling
  221. out  the order form,  please  use  the  contact person's  name  to avoid
  222. confusion at a later date.

  253. WARRANTY

  256. DC CAD is provided  AS IS  without any warranty,  expressed or implied.
  257. This includes without limitation the fitfulness to a particular purpose
  258. or application and any warranties of merchantability.

  260. We have been as thorough as possible while testing  DC CAD.  DC Software
  261. shall not  be liable for any damages,  including any lost profits,  lost
  262. savings or other incidental or consequential damages arising out of your
  263. use,  misuse  or inability to use  the program,  or for any claim by any
  264. other party,  or for any damages, whether direct,  indirect, special, or
  265. consequential  arising  from a failure  of this program or  accompanying
  266. files to  operate in a  manner  desired by the user.   DC Software shall
  267. further not be  liable  for any  damage to data or property which may be
  268. caused directly or indirectly by use of this program.

  270. To those people who have registered  (and have received a diskette), the
  271. physical  diskette  is  warranted   against  defects  in  materials  and
  272. workmanship for a period of 60 days from date of shipment by DC Software.
  273. Any returned disks found damaged or bad will be replaced at no charge.

  279. If  you  have  a  problem  with  DC CAD please feel free  to  write  and
  280. describe  the situation.   Registered users,  please include the  serial
  281. number found on your diskette.

  288. Shareware  Professionals  (ASP).  ASP  wants  to  make  sure  that  the
